Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. Here's how we protect it.

Effective: January 26, 2026

Rkive is designed with privacy at its core. Your documents stay on your device. We do not collect personal data, and we do not run behavioral advertising or analytics.

The App stores your PDFs, scanned images, OCR text, tags, collections, and app preferences locally on your iPhone. This data stays on-device unless you explicitly choose to export or share it.

Scanning and OCR run entirely on-device using Apple's built-in frameworks. Your images and text are processed locally and are never transmitted to any external servers.

If you enable iCloud Backup for your device, Apple may back up your App data as part of your device backup. You can also export vault backups or PDFs and restore from a backup file you choose. When you export or share documents (via Files, AirDrop, or other apps), your data goes to the destination you choose, and their privacy policies apply.

You can delete documents within the App at any time. Deleting the App removes all on-device data. iCloud backups (if enabled) are controlled through your Apple ID settings.

We use platform security features and reasonable safeguards to protect your data. All data remains encrypted on your device. However, no method of storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Rkive is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent where you live). We do not collect personal data, including from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this document.
